A lovely walk along a popular route and a group of 17 walkers came along for this walk on a beautiful sunny spring morning.

We took the road beside the village hall to join the towpath at Burnt Mill Lock. Then the route continues to Little Bedwyn along the towpath. From there we walked uphill and along a bridleway from Burridge Heath down to Jockey Green and Galley Lane.

On the way down to Jockey Green the remains of an old Grade II listed 19th Century tile kiln can be seen to the right, in the private grounds of Mirldown House.

No stiles, no steep inclines, some road walking, expect mud on the towpath in wet conditions. Sheep graze in the vicinity so keep dogs close.
