Footpath access improvements at Chisbury

Date: March 2026 Over a number of years Bedwyn Footpaths Group have replaced all the old stiles in Great Bedwyn with the more accessible option of gates but in March we were working over the border, busy removing old wooden stiles and installing replacement gates in the parish of Little Bedwyn this time, or more precisely, at Chisbury. Group walk: Bedwyn Common and St Katharine's Church

Thursday 15th January 2026. 2.5 miles Date: Thursday 15th January 2026 Time: 10:00 am – 11:45 am Location: St Katharine’s Church, Savernake This walk route follows footpaths and tracks around the common through tall oaks and conifers. If walking this route in June keep an eye out for the foxgloves appearing through the undergrowth on the section to the NE of the Bedwyn Road.
